The place was pretty awesome...it's in a beautiful old house...with tons of antique cars, rocking horses, creepy dolls (ha!), trains....pretty much anything you can think of.
But the best part about this museum is it's not just for looking...many of the toys are there to play with! Autumn especially loved riding in all the cars.
And when we found out they were having a marionette show at 11:30, we thought it sounded like fun. So we all headed in to the little theater with a few other patrons. Unfortunately fun is definitely not the word I would use to describe it...first it was all in French so we couldn't understand most of it and second, it was just weird. Here you can see when Satan and his son first entered the show...um, what? Needless to say, our little ones were not fans of the way too long and way too strange marionette show. So as you can imagine they were all a bit restless and a bit too noisy and we were all but asked to leave the theater before too long. I don't like getting dirty looks...or being kicked out of anywhere, but I know I was relieved to not have to sit through the rest of the crazy little puppet show.
Marionette show aside, I really liked the Antique Toy Museum. And although it ended up being another gray day in Brussels, it was a fun one with good friends and good memories!
